This year, CFP Grottaferrata hosted a juggling and circus pedagogy workshop for the first time.
The activities were organized by the circus artist and trainer Irene Cross, graduated from the Circus School of Turin Flic, the Circus School of Brussels Up and graduated from Wisdom of Rome in Literature and Philosophy, with a thesis on circus pedagogy as a new form of art therapy.
In the Juggling and Circus Pedagogy laboratory, rhythm and coordination in movements have a fundamental importance, blending in unison with the game and thus giving life to the "game in movement", or the basic playful component of the Circus.

Movement helps to develop one's expressive potential, giving space to the imagination. In the meantime, through play we surprise ourselves, entering into a relationship with the outside world. We become creative. The moment of the laboratory is thus experienced as something magical, suspending the ways, times and rules of everyday life.
You learn by making mistakes and mistakes help you progress., because it allows you to learn something new. In this, the repetition of gestures is fundamental, because in addition to developing coordination, you learn to recognize the position of your body in space in relation to the tools you are using. In this way you try to develop a good concentration for the success of the exercise, while having fun.
Even the colors of the various tools used help, reflecting joy and well-being on each individual.
Throughout the workshop you live in a shared space with your own rules, a space elsewhere without judgement and with the full freedom to be yourself and experiment.
